Ryan Reynolds spent the Easter holidays with his girlfriend Blake Lively and her family.

The pair's romance appears to be going from strength to strength since they began dating late last year. The 35-year-old actor has shown he is serious about Blake by getting to know her loved ones in New York City over the weekend.

On Saturday night, the couple went to watch a Broadway production of popular musical Mary Poppins and they were accompanied by several members of the actress' family.

After the show, the group moved on to restaurant Serendipity 3 on the Upper East Side where they ordered desserts.

Blake and Ryan managed to avoid attracting too much attention as they held hands in the eatery. The pair were both wearing hats as they tucked into their sweet treats.

Even when one diner recognised that 24-year-old Blake was using the same phone as her character in TV show Gossip Girl, they still enjoyed their privacy.

"Source told us two girls sitting at the next table noticed Lively's phone, saying, That girl has the same iPhone cover as Serena on Gossip Girl!' not recognising the actress until her party got up to leave," reports New York Post.
