23rd March 2012

S A Chandrasekaran, the president of Tamil Film Producers Council, on Thursday met Chennai City Police Commissioner J K Tripathy and denied allegations made against him by stunt choreographer Jaguar Thangam.

Talking to journalists later, he said, "Thangam has made false charges against me. There is not even an iota of truth in it. In fact, I was threatened by some persons at the recent meeting of the Council."

On Wednesday, Jaguar Thangam filed a complaint with Tripathy against Chandrasekaran, that he and his supporters threatened him with dire consequences.

According to Thangam, he recently attended a meeting of the Producers Council in Chennai on Monday, where it was deicded to start a new association for workers, to replace Film Employees Federation of South India.

When he opposed to it, he was allegedly threatened by S A Chandrasekaran and his men. Even some of them tried to assault Thangam but he was saved by other members of the Council.

In Thangam's own words, "When I said that the shooting of Thupaaki (in which SAC's son Vijay is the hero) is going on without any disturbance at a time when shootings of other projects hit a roadblock, supporters of SAC said they will be forced to take thupaaki (gun) against me if I continued to talk so."
