"Salman's car was not in speed," says Salman's lawyer

17th April 2015

On the Thursday session at court, Salman Khan's lawyer, Srikant Shiavde put forward another statement that the actor's vehicle was not speeding and that the motor vehicle officer was not an expert to examine the vehicle.

In Shivade's words, "On the day when the alleged accident took place, the circumstantial evidence points out a fact that the car was not at the speed of 90-100 km/hour."

He added that the motor vehicle officer was acquainted with Indian made cars and not imported cars. Shivade further added that, there was a formula to calculate speed of the vehicle after investigating the tyre marks of the vehicle but the expert claimed that there were no such marks.

Therefore, how could the vehicle be in speed? The questions will continue with the case until the final hearing is summoned by the judge.
