Samantha lost out on big projects like Mani Ratnam's 'Kadal', due to her skin ailment, which forced the actress to stay away from action for a couple of months.

Now that she is back and geared up to stand in front of the camera, she is signing projects and will be part of some mega movies.

One such film will see Samantha opposite ace actor, Suriya. The film will be directed by Lingusamy.

"The deal is almost finalised and Samantha will sign on the dotted line soon", say sources.

It is to be noted that Samantha recently shared the stage with Suriya during the audio launch of 'Neethane En Ponvasantham', directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon. Samantha is playing the lead actress for all the three versions of this film - Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.
