(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Sandra Bullocks ex-husband used to think it was bulls**t when she said she loved him.

The actress was thrown into turmoil shortly after winning her best actress Oscar last year when a string of women claimed her husband Jesse James had been unfaithful. The pair split and have since divorced, with Sandra continuing their plan to adopt a baby on her own.

Jesse insists hes turned his life around over the last year and is now releasing a book about his life called American Outlaw. Hes currently promoting it, and has been talking about the cheating scandal.

Jesse has tried to explain why he sought out other women while married, saying it was partly due to Sandras success.

She could stand there in front of the world and say she loved me, but in my mind I was thinking, Yeah? Bulls**t. You dont love me. Im just some biker kid, he told Howard Sterns Sirius satellite show.

He added he was first unfaithful two years after he married the actress in 2005.

Jesse is in a new relationship with tattooist Kat Von D, who he says loves him like no one else ever has. He praised her for helping him through tough times and for being there when nobody wanted to be [his] friend.

In a separate interview, Jesse admitted he doesnt have much contact with Sandra anymore. Hes also not seen Louis, the baby they were planning to adopt together, for many months.

I've never seen Louie since everything happened, so a year, he told ABC News. I could only cry so much about [Louis] until I have to suck it up and keep a stiff upper lip and realise, Hey, [there are] three kids that I do have. I need to take care of them and not worry about the one that I don't, you know, and I think that's the lesson.

I'm sorry it happened. I'm sorry it went down the way it did, but I forgive myself and now I can move on. (C) Cover Media
