These days, it is very common for actors and actresses to croon in their movies, but this was something more than usual. It is heard that Santhanam has sung four songs in his heroic venture titled 'Kanna Laddu Thinna Aasaiya'.

Sources say that the actor will be playing the role of a singer in the movie directed by debutant Manikandan. Music composer S.S. Thaman felt that Santhanam's voice would be the best pick for the four songs in the movie and hence he requested the actor to sing.

Produced by Santhanam himself, in association with veteran producers Rama Narayanan, 'Kanna Laddu Thinna Aasaiya' has Sreenivasan, V.T.V. Ganesh and Vishaka playing important roles.
