This year is a milestone in the life of A. R. Rahman, as it marks his 20th year in the film industry. The 'Mozart of Madras' began his career with the seminal 'Roja' in 1992, which revolutionised Indian film music.
He also won international acclaim with Danny Boyle's 'Slumdog Millionaire' for which he received two Oscars and Grammys.
And the celebrated composer is still going strong with over half-a-dozen high profile projects like Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Kochadaiyaan', Mani Ratnam's 'Kadal' and Yash Chopra's latest 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan' in Hindi.
Now, to celebrate Rahman's milestone, his sister Raihana is planning to hold a grand musical event in October along with a city-based music group. The event is expected to have popular actors and filmmakers from Kollywood who have worked with the maestro, as special guests.
Meanwhile, legendary Rahman, continues to make his mark in the world of music!
