Known for his comic roles veteran actor Satish Kaushik previously seen in 'Veerey Ki Wedding' in March, will now be seen in this Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao starrer 'Mental Hai Kya' which is Prakash Kovelamudi’s directorial debut.

In the film, Kaushik will be seen playing a cop investigating a case involving the Kangana and Rao. The film's schedule started shooting last week. Adding an experienced actor on the list is a good decision by the makers and what Satish Kaushik brings to the table is its comic timing.

Speaking about his role Kaushik said, "My diet has gone for a toss while shooting as I’m playing a character that eats junk food all through his investigation, so pizza, samosa, chhole bhature, namkeen, biscuits, bhel — nothing was off-limits on the sets. But I’m satisfied that the scenes will look very real on screen." 

The actor explains, adding that shooting with Prakash and his team has been great. "I have worked with his father, Sir K Raghavendra Rao, as well, who is among the best directors in Tamil and Telegu cinema."

Helmed by Prakash Kovelamudi and written by Kanika Dhillon under Ekta Kapoor's Balaji Motion Pictures, 'Mental Hai Kya' is an entertaining psycho-thriller currently in the making.
