Satyajeet Dubey's ticket to Bollywood

25th May 2011

Satyajeet Dubey, budding talent, is making his big debut in Shahrukh Khan's next home production 'Always Kabhi Kabhi'. The film is a youth-oriented story that revolves around four central characters and their teenage life. Satyajeet is playing one of the four leads along with producer Karim Morani's daughter, Zoa Morani opposite whom Satyajeet is cast. The other couple is Giselli Monterio of 'Love Aaj Kal' fame and Ali Fazal.

For Satyajeet, the journey was not smooth as the guy had been through a rough patch in real life before he hit the jackpot with 'Always Kabhi Kabhi'. Not many know that Satyajeet actually auditioned 127 times before he got his first commercial ad, after which he went on to do a couple of more ads in which he was noticed by director Roshan Abbas's wife, Shaheen. Later, it was she who recommended Satyajeet's name to Roshan, who was then on a look out for a newcomer to star in his debut film.

As soon as Satyajeet auditioned for the role, he was finalized because of his talent and his simple nature that were required for the character. In the film too, Satyajeet plays a down-to-earth, innocent, geeky guy in his teens. According to Satyajeet, his backstage experience of working in theater helped him grow as an actor. In his struggling days the talented actor did a lot of theatre work where he observed work of star performers like Naseeruddin Shah. Hope your work pays off Satyajeet and better keep your fingers crossed. The film is all set to hit theatres on 17th June 2011.
