Seth Rogen and wife prefer dog' to children

15th December 2011

Seth Rogen and his wife are not interested in having children anytime soon.

The 50/50 actor and spouse writer Lauren Miller wed in October.

Seth is enjoying his first few months as a newlywed and does not want to focus on expanding his family right now.

"No, [kids are not on the cards]," Seth told People magazine.

"We have a dog. That's good for now."

Seth's personal life is going well at the moment. Marriage with Lauren is more enjoyable than he initially imagined it would be.

"Life is good," Seth explained. "I'm pretty happy right now. Married life is exactly like non-married life, except you're not constantly having the feeling that you're disappointing your significant other by not marrying them."

Seth's film 50/50 has just been nominated for a Golden Globe Award in the Best Picture category.

The comedian's wife Laura had a unique reaction to the news when the couple received an early morning phone call with the news.

"She was asking why someone was calling us so early," Seth laughed.

"As soon as she heard I was going to be on the phone, I was kicked out of the room."

Seth is elated that 50/50 has been so successful with fans and critics.

"[The nomination is] really surprising and really nice," he explained.

"I make movies for people to see them. I don't talk about them getting nominated for awards, nor do I expect it. If I tied my happiness with getting nominated for awards, I would have been pretty miserable up until now."

The 69th Annual Golden Globes Awards will be staged on January 15 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles.
