Shah Rukh Khan in the remake of 'Ramanaa'

After the success of Tamil remakes 'Wanted' and 'Rowdy Rathore', buzz is that another South remake is in the pipe line. 'Ramanaa', a 2002 action blockbuster is going to be remade in hindi, and this time it is King Khan who will go for the Madras Cut. 

In his 20 year career, Shah Rukh Khan will appear in a South remake for the very first time. Reportedly he was keen on appearing in a remake since quite some time; the success of South Indian Masala these days just speeded up the process.  

Sanjay Leela Bhansali the producer of Rowdy Rathore is likely to produce this action flick too. Rumours also have it that Aishwariya Rai-Bacchan will be making a comeback with this film. Will A.Murugadoss who directed the original will be roped in for the remake too is yet to be confirmed. 

Starring Vijaykanth and Simran, Ramanaa was the story of a professor who wants to erase corruption with the help of his ex-students. The movie released in November 2002 and instantly became a huge success.
