Simbu started shooting for his upcoming venture 'Vaalu' from today. Starring Hansika Motwani and Simbu in the lead roles, Vaalu is being directed by newcomer Vijay Chander and produced by S.S.Chakravarthy of NIC Arts.

Thaman will do the music and Sakthi is roped in to do the Cinematography. The film is scheduled to hit the screens on the auspicious day of Deepavali. Released on Wednesday, Vaalu’s teaser is already hit in the cyber space. 

The film is about a youngster who lives in railway quarters in Chennai. Santhanam will be doing a cameo role in it.
