Shanthanu Bhagyaraj is a victim. In the world of torrentz and pirated cds or dvds, it is very difficult for the film world to make their lives piracy-free. Shanthanu is the new victim of this piracy racket. Shortly after the release of his movie Kandaen, illegal DVDs flooded the market and the full movie also could be viewed online later.

A shocked Shanthanu filed complaint after meeting the commissioner of Police, Mr. Tirupathi. He has asked the Police to take strict action against the miscreants. Shanthanu has also appealed to his fans all over to stop piracy and support the makers of movie by watching the movies legally. In India at least there is no such strict action taken against downloading movies. Shanthanu's appeals to the movie lovers and his fans might bring about some change.
