(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Shia LaBeouf says the Transformers cast are like "family".

The actor is currently promoting the latest part of the Sci-Fi franchise called Transformers: Dark of the Moon. He explained each of his co-stars have distinct personalities, which helps balance out potential on-set tensions.

The 25-year-old explained that while he and director Michael Bay can be a little up and down with their feelings, Tyrese Gibson and new cast member Rosie Huntington-Whiteley are more consistent.

"Me and [director Michael Bay] are emotional and aggressive and we go through our ruminations, and [Tyrese and Rosie] sort of are the consistency," he told Access Hollywood. "Josh [Duhamel] too, come to think of it. They're all really solid that way. It is a family!"

Shia seemed especially fond of Tyrese, who has starred alongside him in the two previous Transformers movies.

The star said that the 32-year-old's positive outlook on life provided a good mood on set. "He's like a motivational speaker," he said. "Tyrese is the most consistent positive energy you've ever been around in your life - even on the set. He and Rosie [Huntington-Whiteley] were like the cheerleaders for us. (C) Cover Media
