Come 22nd August and Chennai will witness a mega cultural show, for actress and danseuse Shobana will stage her dance-drama 'Krishna'. After the grand success of 'Maya Ravan', a similar attempt, she is gearing up for 'Krishna'.

Announcing the launch of 'Krishna', Shobana said, "It is a dialogue drama where classical, folk and film dance has been put together for the production." She added: "It's an initiative to spread the preachings of Lord Krishna. The drama will touch upon some of the lesser known stories from the Mahabharata and from the life of Lord Krishna."

Sound design is by Resul Pookutty, art is by Rajeevan, whereas the choreography and direction is by Shobana. The drama will be staged on Janmashtami day.
