This weekend, 'Sridhar', a film starring Siddharth, Shruti Haasan and Hansika Motwani in lead roles, will hit the screens all over Tamil Nadu. For those who have smelled something familiar, yes you are right, it is the Tamil dubbed version of Tollywood hit 'Oh My Friend'.
Since all the three lead players - Siddharth, Shruti Haasan and Hansika Motwani - are immensely popular in the Tamil industry, expectations are riding high on the movie. To give a boost further, aggressive promotional activities are being made by Sathish, who has acquired the dubbing rights.
The story of the movie goes as follows: The friendship between childhood pals Chandu (Siddarth) and Siri (Shruti Haasan) grows stronger as they grow up. But life undergoes a change when Ritu Sharma (Hanshika Motwani), a college friend of both, joins their company. Chandu falls in love with Ritu Sharma and successfully proposes to her.
Problems erupt when Chandu unwittingly distances himself from Siri in the process of getting close to Ritu. Siri being a possessive friend that she is, starts feeling the pinch. In the meantime, her marriage is fixed with Uday (Navdeep), a U.S. return. Friendship or love, which wins at the end is the rest of the story.
