Director Vettrimaran's next venture ‘Vada Chennai’ is getting bigger. It was earlier announced that STR aka Simbu will be the main protagonist of the film. Now it is said there will be two actors in the lead and the other one is Tollywood's Rana Daggubati.

'There are two important roles in this film and Vetrimaran felt that Silambarasan and Rana would fit the bill. The two actors are happy when they heard the script and expressed their consent to be part of the film,' say sources.

Reportedly it has been said that actresses Andrea Jeremiah and Divya have been signed as the lead actresses in the film. The story of the film is set in the backdrop of North Chennai. It will be close to reality and will throw light on some of the hidden facts of the area. The shooting is said to begin shortly.

‘Vada Chennai’ will be produced by Dhayanidhi Alagiri under the banner of Cloud Nine Movies. Vetrimaran is confident about the script. Music will be scored by G V Prakash Kumar. The director who has kept this movie script under wraps has stated that this movie will definitely surprise the audiences.
