Director Ezhil is well known to have worked with some of the topmost actors of Kollywood such as Vijay, Ajith, Jayam,Ravi etc. . There are rumours doing rounds that the ace director is looking forward to make his comeback in direction after a long hiatus.

Titled 'Manam Kothhi Paravai', the movie is said to be a romantic comedy. Ezhil has roped in popular actor Siva Karthikeyan as the main protagonist in the film. Athmiya who was selected from among 300 girls who had turned up for audition is the lead actress .

Talking about the film Ezhil says, “All my earlier films were shot in big cities. For the first time, my story has a village backdrop. The movie is extensively shot in my native place of Thanjavur district.” On selecting Siva he says, “Just like my earlier Prabhu Deva starrer 'Pennin Manathai Thottu', the entire script has a high humour quotient. I have watched Siva’s programme and found that he has a natural flair for comedy.”

A thrilled Siva who has already started work for Pandiraj’s Marina on his part said, “I am honored to be part of such a big project. I thank Ezhil sir  for giving me an opportunity to work with an industry stalwart like him.” Imman will be the music director.
