SLB obsessive about Madhuri

26th April 2011

Bollywood's critically acclaimed director Sanjay Leela Bhansali, is one who's known to create magic on screen with his larger than life films. The director's grand films have been able to draw some of the most complex emotions on screen, with ease. The director, who has always sworn by Aishwarya as his muse, is now suddenly in total awe of Madhuri Dixit.

The director-actress duo had once worked together in 'Devdas', where Madhuri played the role of 'Chandramukhi'. Sanjay says that he always wanted to work with Madhuri but he did not get the opportunity until 'Devdas'. He further says that when he wanted to make 'Khamoshi', he had originally wanted to cast Madhuri but after a wait of two-and-a-half-years, he gave up. Later, he tried to rope in Madhuri for 'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam' but failed at that attempt as well. According to him, after 'Devdas', he made sure that he would cast only Madhuri in the role of 'Chandramukhi'. To see Madhuri perform again, he had to wait for years, until she came as a judge on a reality show. It was then that Sanjay got to see Madhuri perform.

While promoting 'Guzaarish', Sanjay was praising Aishwarya and promoted Ash as his muse saying that he would always make films with her. His changing moods or should we say changing 'muse', is certainly creating confusions all over again.
