Madhuri Dixit to debut in Marathi films with 'Bucket List'

Madhuri Dixit is all set to debut in a Marathi film titled 'Bucket List' and we have the Dhak Dhak beauty riding a bike with a smile on the first poster of the film. Helmed by Tejas Prabha Vijay Deoskar, this film will be presented by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions.

The movie also features Renuka Shahane, with whom Madhuri acted in the hit film Hum Aapke Hain Koun. Both Madhuri and Karan posted the film's poster on their respective Twitter handle.

Karan captioned it, ''Proud to present @MadhuriDixit in a Marathi film! On 25th May 2018 चल, आता आपण दोघही पूर्ण करुया आपली #BucketList. Directed by @tejasdeoskar. Produced by @Darkhorsecine @DARPictures @bluemustangcs .@DharmaMovies @apoorvamehta18 @bucketlistfilm @AAFilmsIndia.''

In the film, Madhuri is set to play a role of an aspiring house-wife Madhura Sane who has a bucket list of wishes to fulfil.

Talking about making her mark for the very first time in Marathi Cinema, Madhuri said, "Marathi cinema is evolving beautifully and it makes me proud to see such incredible stories come alive on screen. I have received many scripts over the years since I was always open to acting in Marathi films. However, no script excited me as much as this one. The moment I heard the story, I knew that I wanted to be a part of it."

Whereas this is also Karan Johar's first Marathi film as a producer. At the moment his production house has bankrolled 'Dhadak' the Bollywood remake of the Marathi award-winning film 'Sairat'. Looks like Karan is expanding his production house to invest in regional films as well.
