(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Snoop Dogg is desperate to perform at a party to celebrate Britains Prince Williams engagement to Kate Middleton.

The royal announced he had proposed to his long-term girlfriend last week, with the pair confirming they will wed on Friday April 29 next year at Westminster Abbey in London.

Williams brother Prince Harry is delighted at the impending nuptials, saying he cant wait to welcome Kate into the family as hes always wanted a sister. He is reportedly planning a huge party to celebrate the engagement, and hopes to line up some A-list performers. Among those hes interested in is Snoop Dogg, who is said to be delighted by the idea.

A source reports that Snoop hasn't been approached by anyone with royal ties, but is really interested in doing it now that the idea is out there, reports E! News.

There have been concerns that even if the hip-hop superstar does get an invite, he will be unable to attend. Snoop has previously been banned from entering the UK due to convictions for drugs and firearms offences in the US and for causing a fracas at Heathrow airport.

However, his representative has insisted that is all in the past. It was years ago and he's since been cleared to enter the UK, the spokesperson said.

Harry is keen for the party to be a fun, not stuffy event. He has already put a lot of planning in, with the menu decided upon. The party will be low-key but fun with mini-burgers, fish and chips.
