21st December 2010

(Cover) - EN Star Style - Sofia Coppola thinks the internet has made fashion less unique.

The 39-year-old director is celebrated for her movies such as Lost in Translation and Marie Antoinette, which are often praised for their stylish aesthetic and elegant costumes as much as for their stunning cinematography.

Sofia travels the world a great deal with her work, and admits shes disappointed nowadays by the lack of variety in styles she encounters across the globe.

But I feel like nowadays, with the internet, there is not as huge a difference as when I was a kid, when you would see a big difference between places, because everyone is looking at the same references, she lamented in an interview with stylist.com.

The gorgeous brunette currently lives in Paris and was born in New York, although she considers herself a Californian. She has remarked the differences between the three cities, and feels Europeans and New Yorkers are usually a little more chic.

California is much more causal, she explained. New Yorkers are a little bit more dressed up - they're closer to Europe maybe, the more east you go. (C) Cover Media
