Sofia Vergara's beau is reportedly throwing an engagement party for his love this weekend.

The Modern Family star was in Mexico celebrating her 40th birthday when her on-off boyfriend Nick Loeb proposed recently. There have been rumours Sofia hasn't fully accepted the marriage offer.

Nick is preparing to surprise Sofa with a lavish party on Saturday in the Hamptons, New York that he is organising with their mutual friend.

"The party will be a surprise for Sofia and Nick's friend Pat is throwing it for the couple," a source told Radar Online. "It will be a celebratory party, and Nick is very much in love with Sofia."

Sofa has been dating Nick for around two years, but the pair reportedly split in May.

They got back together just a few weeks later and he joined the actress for her milestone celebrations with friends and family in Mexico this month.

Nick is believed to have popped the question at the Rosewood Mayakoba luxury resort in the Riviera Maya.
