Sonam Kapoor despite of being one of the top actresses in the country, even today is also known as superstar Anil Kapoor’s star daughter. And unlike many who craved to make their mark and prove their individuality, Sonam takes pride in being called as ‘Daddy’s Princess’. “I am here because of my father. I am not one of those star-kids who say you don't know how hard I have worked and that it has nothing to do with my father. My work has everything to do with my father. People treat me with respect because I am Anil Kapoor's daughter,” she declared.

Recently while promoting her forthcoming film ‘Players’ quoted that she is proud to be his daughter, “I am proud of him. It is unfair to my father if I say he hasn't contributed to my success. He has been in the industry for 30 years and he has worked for his children and if we don't bear the fruits of his hard work then who will?” she asked. 

“People have seen my dad's work and they have expectations from my acting skills as well” she quoted.
