Shahid Kapoor has reportedly turned down Vidhu Vinod Chopra's love triangle 'Chitthiyan'.
"I haven't accepted any new offer except Maneesh Sharma's. And it would be unprofessional to talk about the films I have turned down," said the 30-year-old actor.
Apparently Chopra met Shahid and narrated the story. However, the actor, whose last release 'Mausam', bombed at the box office is in no mood to star in yet another romantic film. The actor apparently is having cold feet over signing romantic films as he thinks he would be typecasted as a romantic hero.
Says a source, "He is approached with a new script every single day. For some strange reason, most of the films on offer, including Anand Rai's 'Ranjhana', are love stories. Shahid is more keen to do action and thriller films."
"Shahid has seen Vidhu Vinod Chopra's work and was keen to work with him. But a love story is not what he wants to do at the moment. He meant no offence to Vidhu Chopra and would like to work with him in the future. At the moment the only film Shahid has said yes to is Maneesh Sharma's next for the Yash Raj Films", adds the source.
