At the beginning of the year 2017, Akshay Kumar shared his filmy baggage for the year. He announced five films, four of which we already knew. The fifth one came as a surprise when he announced 'PadMan' directed by R. Balki and produced under the banner of Twinkle Khanna's production company Mrs. Funnybones Movies. As Akshay Kumar will play the male lead, the hunt for the female lead is finally over.

Sonam Kapoor will be a part of the movie and this was announced by Sonam herself . She posted the poster of the film and captioned it as, "Thrilled to be a part of this prestigious project. #rbalki @akshaykumar @missfunnybones @radhikaofficial #padman."

Meanwhile, she was spotted with R. Balki and just a day after it, the actress made an official announcement for the same on twiiter.
