The recently released trailer of Sonam Kapoor's anticipated film 'Khoobsurat' has many quirks to it's credit. One of which is the fact that she calls her onscreen mother, played by Kirron Kher, by her first name, Manju.

But not many know that this friendliness with parents is not restricted to films, as in real life too Sonam and her sister Rhea Kapoor call their parents by their nick names. They call their father Anil Kapoor AKS, while their mother Sunita as SONES. They don't address their parents as 'mom' or 'dad'.

When quizzed on the reason, they exclaim that the comfort to call their parents by names stems from the fact that they are friends with their parents.

"Both our parents are like friends to us and this reflects our modern upbringing. In fact, if we go to our father and say, 'dad dad', he will just walk away," said Rhea who has co-produced the film with her father Anil Kapoor.

Rhea made her debut as a producer with the film 'Aisha' that tanked at the box office. Hopefully, her second outing 'Khoobsurat' gets her the much needed success.

The film is an official remake of the film with the same name, that starred Rekha and Rakesh Roshan in the lead.
