Spice Girls to auction of iconic costumes

28th June 2012

Victoria Beckham and her fellow Spice Girls are going to auction off several of their famous items of clothing for charity.

The former British girl band will have the outfits for sale to coincide with the December launch of their new musical Viva Forever! in London's West End.

The LA-based fashion designer told Britain's Mirror newspaper that clothes worn by her, Geri Halliwell, Emma Bunton, Mel B and Mel C will go under the hammer for a great cause.

"I've got all my costumes still," Victoria revealed. "I can't wait for Harper to grow a little so she can have some."

"But the rest I'd like to put up for charity, I think it would be a fantastic thing to do. Everything we did at the time was great, it really was great.

"We watched a little video Geri put together and I think we were nearly all brought to tears."

Items will include Mel C's sporty Adidas tracksuits and crop tops, Emma's babydoll dresses, Geri's raunchy basque-style mini-dresses and the girls' wedge trainers that they called the Buffalo shoes.

All funds raised will go towards Save The Children and Children In Need.
