Audiences and critics loved Shah Rukh Khan in the film 'Chak De! India' where he played the inspirational hockey coach that takes his team to world cup. And now if things fall in place, Shah Rukh may be seen donning a similar avatar yet again.
It is heard that there are plans to make a biopic on hockey legend Dhyan Chand and the makers are planning to cast SRK in lead.
Bollywood's renowned writer Ila Bedi Dutta who wrote Karan Johar's 'Agneepath' is writing this script as well. She plans to complete the script by the end of this year, also expecting a nod from SRK.
"I recently met Shah Rukh to discuss the project. For us, he is the perfect choice for Dhyan Chand. Though he hasn't given his answer yet, we expect him to sign the dotted line," said Ila.
The film will be produced by Pooja Shetty, while debutant Rohit Vaid will be directing it.
"Shah Rukh's inclination towards hockey in his early days and of course, his Chak De persona makes him perfect for the role," stated the new director.
