It's going to be a special birthday for Nargis Fakhri this time around, especially since she plans on actively participating on raising funds for Akshara Centre along with Ketto, an online support network which brings individuals closer to the cause they wish to support.
Nargis who celebrates her birthday on the 20th of October, will share details on her Facebook and Twitter page, with an aim to generate around a lakh minimum, which will help 5 girls with their higher education.
Says Nargis, "This year has been really special and I have never felt more loved and blessed. Which is why I would like to do something extra special on my birthday this year. In honour of these girls whose wings have been clipped but who still dare to dream, this year I would like to give up my birthday. So instead of sending me presents, I am asking all of you to donate to my cause...to support the empowerment and education of the young girls at Akshara Centre."
