Stars chop fee for ‘Players’

18th October 2011

Bollywood’s forthcoming multi starrer film ‘Players’ directed by Abbas-Mustan is reportedly facing certain financial liabilities. The film has a huge star cast including Abhishek Bachchan, Bipasha Basu, Sonam Kapoor and Neil Nitin Mukesh. It is made on a huge extravagant scale as it has been majorly shot in exotic foreign locales.

Due to the fact that the film is an official remake of Hollywood film ‘Italian Job’, producers had to buy the rights of the film which were expensive. Moreover, the film being an action thriller has been extensively shot with costly techniques. Recently when the producers were feeling the heat of the expenses, the actors showed some courtesy and concern as they chopped their fee to a great extent, much to the producers relief. The trend was started by Abhishek Bachchan who first decided to reduce his fee which was followed by other stars including Sonam Kapoor and Neil Nitin Mukesh.
