17th December 2010

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Stephen Dorff isnt worried his new movie hasnt received many awards nominations, as people will be bowing to it in five years.

The actor plays Hollywood actor Johnny Marco in Somewhere, which was written and directed by Sofia Coppola. The movie follows Johnny as he starts to re-examine the way hes lived his life when his 11-year-old daughter comes to live with him.

Stephen has been open about how much the movie means to him, calling it the best part hes ever played and admitting he cried when he heard hed landed it.

He is so proud of the release he isnt worried that it hasnt generate much of an awards buzz, as he thinks it is a slow-burner. Give it time. Five years from now, they will all be bowing down to it, he said.

Stephen lived at the exclusive Chateau Marmont hotel in Los Angeles while shooting Somewhere. He found the experience thrilling, as much of the acting needed for the role was unlike anything hed done before.

He was also amazed by how easy it was to film in the location on the iconic Sunset Boulevard, revealing crew were hardly bothered by passersby at all.

They even gave me personal stationery with my [character's name] on it, he told the New York Post. This was the hardest role of my career, doing lots of things with a 'look' rather than dialogue. (C) Cover Media
