Supernatural TV Series: Japan Goes Animation Way From January!

December 22, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Supernatural TV series, rules the heart of the horror fans in the US and now the series has encouraged the Japanese Warner Bros to come up with an animated version of the popular show. The first announcement was made on June 9, 2010 and it was titled to be Supernatural: The Animation.

In this January, the animated version of the horror show will start airing to create a thrill among the Japanese audience. Renowned Japanese anime studio Madhouse is producing the anime series. Kripke has been credited as the project creator and it will be co-directed by Shigeyuki Miya and Atsuko Ishizuka.

The characters of the show are being designed by Takahiro Yoshimatsu and Naoya Takayama is in-charge of the scripts. The voice of Sam and Dean will be given by Y?ya Uchida and Hiroki Touchi, who earlier lent their voice for the Japanese version of the US TV series. There will be total 22 episodes in the first season of the anime and it will cover the live-action series of the first two seasons of the original series.

The first two episodes of the anime will be released on Blu-ray and DVD in Japan by Warner Home Video on January 12, 2011. The DVD for 3rd to 12th episode will be shipped on 2nd February and on April 6, the rest will be released.

We hope the anime gets the same kind of response like the original series.
