The chirpy star Taapsee Pannu turns 24 today. The model-turned-actress who is also a software professional, made a career in the film industry when she was recognised as a limelight face.

Born and bought up in Delhi, Taapsee was studiuos when in school and college. She completed her graduation in computer science but knew her passion was elsewhere. Modelling for many brands and appearing in many television commercials, she has won several titles including 'Pantaloons Femina Miss Fresh Face' and 'Safi Femina Miss Beautiful Skin'.

Taapsee started off her acting career with the movie 'Jhummandi Nadham' in Tollywood. After that she has worked in many Telugu and Tamil films, as well as Malayalam.

She has worked in critically acclaimed movies like 'Aadukalam', 'Vastadu Naa Raju', 'Mr. Perfect', 'Vandhaan Vendraan' and many more.

Recently, she has been roped in to stand as a brand embassador for a leading textile and jewellery brand. Besides the south films, Taapsee will also debut in a Bollywood film.
