(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Take That have announced the dates for their first spectacular tour with Robbie Williams for 16 years.
The British group has just finished new album Progress and will release their new single, The Flood, in November, after Robbie was reunited with his former band mates Gary Barlow, Mark Owen, Howard Donald and Jason Orange - earlier this year.
Today the group confirmed they would hit the road to promote their new material and the first tickets for their much-anticipated reunion tour in the summer of 2011 will go on sale this Friday. They promised their Progress Live 2011 tour will be a feast for the imagination.
Robbie admitted that although he has been performing solo for over a decade now after quitting the group in 1995 - he would follow the same touring etiquette set by the rest of his band mates.
The lads have always shared a dressing room and I shall be carrying on that tradition too, he said at a press conference. All the lads in the same dressing room together thats right, he joked.
Gary - the songwriter behind many of the groups greatest hits - revealed the tour will kick off in Sunderland, UK, in May 2011. He said they had chosen that venue because they always receive a great response from the North East of England. The band also announced dates for shows across the rest of the UK and Ireland.
Take That will then hit the shores of Europe, starting with Italy, before moving on to perform in Denmark, Netherlands and Germany.
Robbie revealed that he would also be performing some solo material on the tour.
"I'm going to be doing a bit, the lads are going to be doing a bit then we're all going to be doing a bit," he said. (C) Cover Media
