'Thupakki', another much awaited movie seems to be making a pit stop for a while. Well it is heard that a court in Chennai has restricted the producers to use the title until 16th July, 2012.
Apparently, the order was issued while hearing a petition filed by producer K. C. Ravidevan of North East Film Works Film Factory stating that he will be producing a movie under the title 'Kalla Thupakki'.
Ravidevan recalled that the title was registered with the South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce way back in 2009.
But the good news is that the movie has Vijay playing the lead role, so the producer allegedly stated, "However, using the influence of Vijay's father and Tamil Film Producers Council president S A Chandrasekaran, the producers of Vijay's next venture had registered the title Thupakki against the rules and regulations."
Well an influence sure helps everyone get through barriers.
