December 2, 2010 (Sampurn Wire):Tamil movie Thenmerku Paruvakkatru has won the hearts of critics all over South India. It looks the film will go on to be a raging hit in South India because it has already garnered the attention of many even before it has hit theaters in the state. It is a well known fact that director Cheenramasamy has a penchant for making films which go on to be critically acclaimed pieces of work in the long run. And Thenmerku Paruvakkatru too is not an exception to the rule.
However, unlike the fact that it was the actors who propagated the earlier two films of Cheenramasamy to success, it is his lyricist from Thenmerku Paruvakkatru who has won critical acclamation for the film and its director. Lyricist Kaviperarasu Vairamuthu reportedly agreed to work for Cheenramasamy because he was completely bowled over by the plot of the film.
Thenmerku Paruvakkatru centers around the rustic life in India. The story of the film gives the moral that while many poor people in the heartland of the country choose to end their lives when overcome by poverty and misery, many others choose to work hard for a happy life. And it is this fact that has completely won over several critics from the literary world. Poet Thamizhachi Thangapandian says that the films plot is such that will bring tears to your eyes.
