10th April 2018

The makers of 'Mercury' are out with its official trailer and the fans of the horror genre have something to cheer for. After 30 long years, we are served with a silent-horror thriller, the last one being Kamal Haasan's 1987 film titled 'Pushpaka Vimana'. The film is to be released in four languages and going by the haunting trailer itself we do have the right to remain silent.

We get a glimpse of a wounded scary Prabhu Dheva who scares the hell out of us. Few youngsters are stuck in the barren land where the Mercury tragedy took place. There are no dialogues but an intriguing background score that engages us to the film's trailer. Click here to watch the impressive scary trailer of 'Mercury'.

The previous trailer had a vast no man's land with a 'Warning No Trespassing' board fallen off and a place with a lot of negative vibes introduced with an outstanding work of the camera. The first trailer clearly emphasised on the ghostly Prabhu Dheva, bleeding and wounded wearing on neon lenses looking ferociously horrendous. We have never seen Dheva in such a deathlike spooky avatar. Click here to get a glimpse of it.

The film is based on a tragic incident where 84 people died due to mercury poisoning. With mesmerizing acting performances from the supporting cast and the lead Prabhu Dheva, the film is sincerely standing true to its genre.

Helmed by critically acclaimed director Karthik Subbaraj, 'Mercury' is all set for silver-screen in all languages on Friday, the 13th April. Looks like 'Mercury' is set to be one of his finest works till date as well.
