Trisha is busy shooting for the Telugu film 'Ganga the Bodyguard' opposite Venkatesh. Says the actress, "Bodyguard has an amazing role for the heroine, wherein she need not run around trees and romance the hero but can perform. I am eager to see how it goes down with the audience in Andhra Pradesh."

'Ganga the Bodyguard' is a remake of Vijay's 'Kaavalan' and Trisha plays the role played by Asin in the Tamil film. Trisha says, "It's my third film with Venkatesh and I am confident that it would make it big." Meanwhile she is gearing up for the release of 'Manktha', Ajiith's 50th film. She says, "It is an Ajith film, but I enjoyed being part of it".

Though she has not signed any movies after 'Mankatha' in Tamil, Trisha says, "I am waiting for a right script, something like 'Vinnai Thaandi Varuvaya'. It's my desire to do a meaty role. There is no point in run-of-the-mill kind of characters anymore".
