Tom Felton denies spark' with Watson

4th July 2011

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Tom Felton insists there is "no spark" between him and Emma Watson.

Emma recently revealed she had a "huge crush" on her Harry Potter co-star when she was filming the first two movies in the popular wizard franchise. However, Tom has dismissed any prospect of a romance and says the pair are better off as friends.

"Not particularly, no," Tom told British television show Daybreak when asked if Emma had ever confessed her romantic feelings. "We are going back quite a few years here. I remember hearing on the grapevine something along those lines, but Emma and I have been friends for many years. There is certainly no spark there, I am afraid to say."

Tom is currently dating stunt assistant Jade Olivia, who he met while making the Harry Potter movies. The actor plays evil wizard Draco Malfoy in the franchise and there have been rumours Jade will play the character's wife Astoria Greengrass in the final instalment, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2. Tom has refused to elaborate on the reports, insisting he hasn't even seen the final cut of the film yet.

"Potentially, yes," he replied when asked if Jade will be appearing alongside him. "I haven't actually seen the last film yet, but there are whispers. I don't want to say too much because I will get in trouble!

"I haven't seen the film yet, so I am just as excited as everyone else. People keep asking me, What chapters are in it?' But I have no idea!"

Tom was also quizzed on speculation that there might be another Harry Potter movie in the future. The 23-year-old star admitted he has heard the gossip, but was reluctant to discuss it in any detail.

"I dare not confirm or deny," he smiled. "I have heard the rumours, and there are always rumours and whispers flying around. And obviously there is this new website Pottermore that J.K. Rowling has started, I am still a bit hazy of the details, but anything she touches turns to gold, so I am very intrigued to see what she does." (C) Cover Media
