Jared Leto enjoys vagabond' lifestyle

4th July 2011

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Jared Leto is used to his "vagabond lifestyle" with 30 Seconds to Mars.

The American frontman for the alternative rock band also comprising of drummer Shannon Leto and guitarist Tomo Milievi insists the group have become accustomed to life on the road.

The 39-year-old star says while he and his bandmates are used to the nomadic way of life, other crew members suffer on tour.

"It's been a vagabond kind of lifestyle for us for quite some time," he explained in an interview with Nylon magazine. "We pull a lot of people [to work on our tours] 20 or 30 on average. Some people come out and are really great and smart but just can't handle the road. In a matter of days they'll start to need an escape. You get a different type of sleep on a tour bus than in a hotel. You have to learn how to take care of yourself."

Jared says although his life on the road can be disjointed at times, it doesn't affect his productivity. The hunky singer-and-actor has revealed that he is conscientious with his work, despite his extensive touring.

"We have a to-do list that's probably a year or two long," he confessed. "As soon as the show is done I'll end up being back in the bus working until five or six in the morning."

Jared's tour bus features a notice in the bunk area that reads If you do not live on this bus, do not pass through this door.' The star insists the band aren't that bothered about people wandering around, although there has been an occasion when an unwelcome visitor occupied their sleeping compartment.

"Just to clarify, we didn't put that up here. It was the previous owner," he explained. "We did find someone that wasn't supposed to be here sleeping in a bunk once though just a total stranger." (C) Cover Media
