Everyone knows her as Bani. Prachi Desai did many roles after that, not in serials but in movies yet, she is still famous as Bani, from Kasamh Se.

Born on 12th September, 1988 in Surat, Gujjarat, Prachi Desai started her career through a short modelling workshop. While she was still studying in Pune, she was asked to audition for Balaji Telefilms. Kasamh Se of Balaji Telefilms was her big break as Bani at the young age of 17. She won the Jhalak Dikhala Jaa season 2 in December 2007.

Prachi Desai made her film debut through the 2008 Farhan AKhtar Film Rock On! She acted in another movie Life Partner but both failed to make an impression of hers the way she did with Bani. But the 2010 film Jannat, brought her back in to focus. She has many films lined up now.

Prachi Desai has won several awards for her role as Bani. She was one of the youngest and most favourite ;'bahu' on TV.
