Tyra Banks critical of reality TV

12th February 2012

Tyra Banks finds it "hard" to watch reality TV shows.

The model is the creator and host of hit reality series America's Next Top Model. Tyra says her experience in the business makes it frustrating to watch set-up shows that are also on television.

"I produce reality TV, but I don't watch a lot of it... I can see all the tricks that the public doesn't know. I'm like that camera angle, that scene, was shot five times. It's kinda hard for me to watch because of that," she told Juicy magazine.

"I'm like That ain't real!' America's Next Top Model is real."

Tyra has built a massive empire.

Not only does she drive the giant that is America's Next Top Model, she also models and was one of the original Victoria's Secret Angels. She is also co-creator of True Beauty and hosts her own talk series, The Tyra Banks Show.

The 38-year-old star wants to inspire others.

"What I'm working on now isn't publicising myself, but publicising the message," she revealed. "When I was younger, I was like, I'm going to be on the cover of this magazine, going to walk these red carpets.'

"Now it's about expanding the definition of beauty and entertaining girls in a way that's fun and so exciting."
