Varun down but not out

22nd September 2014

Bollywood actors are increasingly becoming more and more cautious and thoughtful towards their films. Of late it has been observed that regardless of what happens in their personal lives or health, the stars are being extra cautious in completing their commitments.

Hrithik Roshan didn't let his films suffer due to his divorce, Salman Khan continued shooting despite his nerve ailment, SRK too resumed shooting for his film 'Happy New Year' hours after meeting with an accident on set.

Incidents like these prove that actors understand how taking a break has a spiral effect on the film's schedule and budget. And following these veterans in this trend is Varun Dhawan who battled acute pain and risked his health to successfully complete the first schedule of his upcoming film 'ABCD 2'.

The film which is the sequel to the first dance film 'ABCD', is directed by choreographer turned filmmaker Remo D'Souza. He is not only directing the film but is also choreographing the dance sequences.

And it was during one such extremely difficult dance sequence that Varun hurt his back badly. He was performing a somersault stunt during which he suffered a back injury.

After medical examination, he was advised bed rest and strict medication. But Varun realised that if the shoot comes to halt, the schedule will be disturbed and it will be very difficult to match dates again.

Hence he decided that he will continue shooting. He continued shooting for the film by taking injections to curb his pain. With this sequence the shoot of first schedule of the film is complete and the team is extremely grateful to Varun for being such a sport.
