Filmmaker Venkat Prabhu's delayed work on 'Mankatha' left fans of 'Thala' disappointed that his shooting for 'Billa 2' would get postponed furthermore. We now hear it straight from Venkat Prabhu's mouth, that the shooting of 'Billa-2' will commence from next month. The film will be directed by Chakri Toleti, who remade the Hindi film 'A Wednesday' with Kamal Haasan and Mohan Lal in lead roles.

'Billa-2' is a prequel to 'Billa 2007' that indeed was a remake of yesteryear Superstar Rajnikanth's 'Billa', a re-done version of Amitabh Bachchan's 'Don'.

Meanwhile the makers of 'Mankatha' are planning to release the single-track album this Friday.
