Victoria Beckham discusses fabulous show-and-tell

5th January 2011

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Victoria Beckham decided against playing the Spice Girls hit Wannabe at a recent show-and-tell event at her sons school as she wanted the other mothers to have a chance.

The British star found fame as part of the girlband, alongside Geri Halliwell, Mel B, Emma Bunton and Mel C. She is now a respected fashion designer, and has said she will be unlikely to ever sing again as she knows its not her forte.

Victoria has sons Brooklyn, 11, Romeo, eight, and five-year-old Cruz with her soccer star husband David, and they all live in Los Angeles. She tries to be as involved with the kids lives as possible, and jumped at the chance to tell other children about her working life during a recent event at her oldest kids school.

I set up a stall with all my dresses, magazine covers, perfumes, candles and sunglasses and my fashion book. It looked fabulous. I thought, right, surely this is something I can do well, she explained. But speakers blaring out Wannabe? Christ, I wanted to give the other mothers at least a chance.

Victoria knows many people find it strange than she is so comfortable in America, especially as her kids now have US accents. She enjoys living there though, as she finds life much more laidback.

Im proud to be English. But LA is definitely home. Lionel Richie asked me the other day how I felt about raising kids there Im always bumping into him at the airport, its weird and I said, I feel great. But at the moment theyre little so I can wrap them in cotton wool. Ask me again when theyre teenagers, she laughed to the British edition of Vogue magazine. (C) Cover Media
