After Mynaa and Mudhal Idam, Vidharth is ready with the release of Kollaikaran. Directed by Thamizh Selvan, a former associate of Seenu Ramaswamy, the movie speaks about a young lad who indulges in petty crimes and  is left unpunished. It eventualy emboldens him to do acts that have much greater repercussions on the society.

"Vidharth is tailor-made for the role. He has given his best and the movie has come god. Playing the female lead is Sanjitha Shetty", adds Thamizh Selvan. A major portion of the movie was shot in Kumbakonam and its adjoining areas. A commercial cocktail, it has humour and romance at right mix, Thamizh Selvan says, 'it is a realistic portrayal of human lives in villages'.

On his part Vidharth says,"Kollaikaran will take me close to the masses. I play a character that people will identify with themselves. All credit should go to the director and the whole team. They have worked hard".

Kollaikaran will rob your hearts for sure, Vidharth says and adds, 'after doing a film like Mynaa, it is my desire to do realistic movies and I am happy that Kollaikaran came my way'
