'Ghanchakkar' movie promotions are in full swing, as Vidya Balan and Emraan Hashmi are busy gearing up for the release of their much-awaited movie next week.
While filmmaker Rajkumar Gupta along with his movie team is leaving no stone unturned when it comes to a big bang release, they were hit by a major distraction, when it was learned that scriptwriter Dhirendra Kumar, sent a legal notice to the production house and is also seeking a stay order on the film from the High Court.
Dhirendra has accused the 'Ghanchakkar' team of plagiarism. He, who is going by the promos of the movie, strongly feels that the movie's climax is based on the script that he had written and registered in 2011.
To further validate his claim, Dhirendra has also expressed that he had met Rajkumar Gupta to narrate his script. He further shared that he was requested to appear in front of the settlement committee, and Rajkumar Gupta was expected to be there too, but the meeting was postponed at the very last minute.
UTV Motion Pictures, who is producing the project, has confirmed that they have received a legal notice from Dhirendra's lawyer, and have stated that according to them there is no truth to his accusation.
Fans have been waiting for the movie for a while now, and let's hope the case is settled soon, so the audiences can get a taste of 'Ghanchakkar' Emraan and Vidya next week.
