Bollywood superstar Salman Khan recently refused to comment over his longtime friend Preity Zinta's molestation charges against her former boyfriend Ness Wadia. Nonetheless, she has been garnering support from many other Bollywood biggies. The latest to join the list is the bold Vidya Balan.

The national award winner lauded Preity for her brave step to speak up against injustice.

"I can't say anything on the case as I am not completely aware of the context. But I can say that Preity has always stood up for her rights. I remember she once filed a defamation case against a publication," she said.

Vidya further exclaims that it was brave of her to take such a step. "Full marks to Preity for having the courage to do so. Why should one keep quiet if they want to speak about it or go to the police. Everyone should have the right to do it," added Vidya.  

She concluded exclaiming that it is indeed a difficult time for women, but she is happy about the fact that mass media is garnering the right amount of buzz around the issues concerning the fairer sex.
