Vijay has been facilitating education of the under privileged from a long time and now plans to take it one step ahead. From this year, he has decided to honour toppers of SSLC and HSC public examinations.

As soon as he expressed this wish to the office bearers of Vijay Makkal Iyakkam, they organised a function in Chennai and made sure that toppers received awards from Vijay himself.

'Ilaya Thalapathi strongly believes that education is an important tool for a country's progression. He hopes to motivate students to study well and be instrumental in the nation's growth,' said an office-bearer of Makkal Iyakkam.
